Monitoring and Follow Up

The GTE requirement is a vital process in your student visa application which needs to be assessed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs before your visa is granted. According to The Department of Home Affairs, the student visa program is not a way for international students to maintain ongoing residency in Australia. The screening process for this is the GTE requirement which aims to identify applicants who are using the student visa program for motives other than gaining a quality education. However, the GTE requirement is not intended to exclude those students who after completing their studies in Australia, develop skills that Australia needs and who then go on to apply for permanent residence.

It is important to note that all claims made in your GTE statement must be supported with documentary evidence. Honesty is crucial in your GTE statement therefore present your genuine self and avoid unsupported reasoning. So, if you have any visa rejections or gaps in your study, be straightforward about it and own it. Our experience gained from previous visa applications for our students with a vast range of nationalities allows us to provide you with tailored advice as we understand what factors will be critiqued the most with different nationalities. We will guide you in writing the most effective GTE statement which conveys your genuine intention to study, increasing your chances of visa approval.
